Construction of two new houses with two swimming pools in Platanias

About project
On a plot of 2000 sq.m. located at the location “Filimos” outside the boundaries of the settlement of Platania of the Municipality of Rethymno, there is a ground floor house of 60 sq.m. (north) and two new houses of 70 sq.m. area are being built. (center) and 87 sq.m. (south) with swimming pools.
EXISTING RESIDENCE
The existing residence, with an area of 60 sq.m., is being repaired and restored, so that it harmonizes with the two residences that are being built anew. In its surroundings, the existing trees are preserved, a swimming pool and some rest areas are added.
NEW FLOOR DWELLING OF LOAD-BEARING MASONRY WITH ATTIC AND SWIMMING TANK
Residence A, with an area of 70 sq.m., is made of perimeter load-bearing masonry, which will be visible on part of the west and north faces. The rest of the vertical surfaces are covered with beige plaster and the frames are brown, with a wood look. Our aim is to create a traditional architectural style with modern details.
A 33 sq.m. swimming pool is being built in its surroundings, while a metal pergola covered with climbing plants of 20 sq.m. is placed next to it, in order to achieve the desired shade. In the uncovered parts of the plot, ground formations with slopes are proposed, in order to bridge the existing slope. The existing olive trees are preserved and new ones are planted, so as to interrupt the visual contact with the neighboring houses.
Part of the roof of the residence is covered by a single-pitched roof, to mark the entrance. The rest of the part is tiled and an open porch is built as an extension of the roof slab, accessible by an external staircase.
Upon entering the residence, the visitor encounters a single living room with fireplace (living room, kitchen dining room), bathroom and one bedroom. From the kitchen area begins the staircase that leads to the 16 sq.m. attic. with another bedroom and w.c..
NEW TWO-STOREY HOUSE WITH BASEMENT AND SWIMMING TANK
House B, with an area of 87 sq.m., is made of reinforced concrete, which is covered with white plaster, while the frames will be made of brown aluminum with a wood look. It consists of a basement with independent entrance, ground floor and first floor. Part of the house’s roof is covered by a single-pitched roof, while the rest is tiled. A new 41 sq.m. swimming pool is being built in its surroundings. and along its perimeter, terrain configurations with slopes are proposed, in order to bridge the existing slope. The existing olive trees are preserved and new ones are planted, so as to interrupt the visual contact with the neighboring houses.
At the entrance, the visitor meets the living room with the fireplace and an auxiliary w.c.. Opposite them is the one bedroom with a bathroom and in the center the staircase that leads to the first floor. On the first floor, there is the second bedroom with a bathroom. The roof of the ground floor serves the first floor as a terrace area, where a metal pergola of 18 sq.m., covered with climbing plants, is placed. A second metal pergola is placed on the eastern face of the property above the staircase leading to the basement, which is also covered with climbing plants.
At the western boundary of the plot, there is a parking space for three cars, suitably configured for the service of people with disabilities, which will serve the two new residences.
